Why Mostly exists
Feeds favour bad news, and happy people rarely post. So many of us come to believe the world is more dangerous than it is, and we treat partners, neighbours and strangers with suspicion. Researchers call this mean world syndrome.
Mostly is a few minutes a day of what a normal day actually looks like: the small thing a husband did, a neighbour who helped, a stranger who was decent. Not heroes. Ordinary life.
How stories are chosen
- Every story is real and checked by a person. If we can't check it, we drop it.
- We retell each one in our own words and link to the original when we can.
- Before using someone's personal post, we ask them. Names and places are always left out.
- No comments, no public like counts, no endless scroll.
