The short version

Mostly has no accounts, no ads and no trackers, and sets no cookies for readers. What you read stays on your phone. We receive only anonymous counts.

Kept on your phone only

The stories you've seen, saved and liked, the date of your last visit, and your settings. They are stored in your browser or app storage and never sent to us. Settings → Forget everything deletes them.

What we receive

  • Anonymous counts per story: one more read, like, share or tap through to Love Lab. Nothing says who.
  • Once a day, an anonymous "opened" count labelled with the week your phone first opened Mostly. It tells us how many readers come back, without any ID.
  • If you use the removal form: the story, your reason, and your email if you choose to give it.

Protecting the service

To stop floods of automated requests, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address for at most one hour. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs for a short time, and stories and counts are stored with MongoDB Atlas.

How long we keep things

Removal requests are deleted 90 days after we handle them. Anonymous counts are kept while the story is in Mostly.

Stories about real people

We leave out names, places and photos of the people in personal stories, and ask before using a personal post. If a story is about you, ask for its removal from the About screen and we take it down within 24 hours.

Who runs Mostly

Mostly is made by the team behind LoveJourney. Questions or requests: lovejourney.india+mostly@gmail.com. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
